Anticipating 2009!

Wizard Champagne Flute

I think that New Year’s Eve is probably one of my favourite holidays.  I am completely entranced with the idea of a celebration for the closure of one year and the beginning of brand new one.  It’s a chance to pause for a moment and think about all the things that went right and how to improve on the things that might not have gone right.  It’s a brand new year and you can set it up any way that you choose.  It’s the perfect time for reinventing yourself or your attitudes, refocusing on your goal, or a general reinvigoration of the spirit!

I’m already eagerly anticipating all the new and challenging things that 2009 will hold for me!  There will be some more traveling, more learning, pushing myself to try some new things, and taking on greater responsibilities.  Overall, I think it should be another great year for my personal growth.  I’ll probably put up a post about the main goals for myself next year sometime around the 31st.

Things should be starting off with an interesting project as well.  I’m joining in an online book blogging group that will start in January.  (If you look to the top left of my blog you should see the badge for the group.)  The focus of the book is on creativity and I’m really looking forward to it.  I feel as though I’m not living up to my creative potential.  Sounds like I copied that off my own report card list of comments, doesn’t it?

How about you?  Are you a fan of the New Year celebration?  Do you like to spend time reflecting on the past year and looking forward to the future?  Do you make New Year’s resolutions/goals?

Cheers to 2009! How wonderful you're joining the book blogging group. Would you mind emailing me to confirm the name you want to be listed under? Thanks you :)

YaY! We will be working on the 12 Secrets together. I'm not a fan of the imposed New Year thingy, but I;m a fan of making daily resolutions :)
