I'm Starting School - Again!

To say I've been keeping myself busy lately would be an understatement. But, I wanted to have another blog post up here before the new moon otherwise it would be three months with nothing but new moon posts. While that isn't necessarily a bad thing, I thought I should do a bit of an update.

So, first of all, in keeping with my resolution to start a new course this fall, I'm going to be in school again this fall! I've picked a Management Certificate program offered through SFU's continuing education program. It'll be the first time in 6 years that I've had to worry about receiving grades, homework, and buying textbooks. I'm just going to start off with one course and see how I feel I can handle the course load.

The first one is going to be an accounting course, so I hope I can use one of Lance's CGA textbooks! At the very least he can help me with my homework, because I'm going to need it!

I also found out that my Bachelor of Arts degree isn't going to exempt me from the business writing course because it's been over 5 years since I graduated. Ah, the joys of university hoop-jumping will begin yet again!

Lance and I are also building an arcade cabinet. It's going slower than we would like. It turns out some of the parts are taking a bit longer to arrive than we originally thought. We got news today that a package arrived while we were at work so this could be the tool we've been waiting for. I guess we'll find out tomorrow when we get to pick it up.

So was it the tool you were waiting for? :)

You must really feel fall in the air because you're going back to school, how exciting for you! Business writing is probably totally different than "regular" writing and actually sounds like it may end up being helpful although I doubt very interesting but you never know. Way to go for going back to school, I think that is very cool.

@ nighthawk - No, it wasn't the tool we were waiting for. But, fingers crossed that it will arrive today. We realized we can actually start the main assembly of the cabinet before getting the tool so it's actually starting to take shape. I'd post pictures, but they're all on L's camera.

@suzie - Actually, the writing course might be pretty good. A big part of my current job revolves around letters (though it's mostly folding and stuffing) and getting a few new ideas on how to write them would be good. Now I just need to wait and see if they let me in. Hopefully I'll hear back this week about it!
