CAIB 3 Score

Woot! I passed! Not only did I pass, I got about 10% higher than I thought I had. Now I'm officially half way through the CAIB program. I have one easy test to write (as soon as I can get a book for it) and one very difficult test to write, which I'll need to get a new book for as the course was just revised. I'd really like to just motor through right now and be finished by the summer!

Hi Jen,

Found your site doing a search on CAIB exams and I just wanted to ask you how hard you thought they were. I'm planning on writing both the CAIB 2 & 3 exams this upcoming february (on the same day) and was wondering if I maybe biting off more than I can chew?

Were the exams both short answer and multiple choice and how many questions are there in total?

It's really hard to judge how hard the exams were since different people find different topics easy/hard or boring/interesting. I didn't find it too challenging, but I'm also good at studying and taking tests.

If you are planning on writing both the same day, have you checked to make sure the exam times don't overlap? I know they have 2 sittings, but be sure that the two exams are each at a different time. Two exams in one day would be very tiring, but I managed to get through University exams with multiple exams on the same day. It'll just depend on how prepared you are for the exam. At least with these 2, they both cover aspects of commercial insurance, so the content is easily connected, but distinct enough not to add to the confusion.

For the exam format, the best place to check it out is the IBABC website. If you take a look at the exam preparation guides in the CAIB program section, they give some sample questions and go over what the test question words are looking for.

Hope that's helpful!
