Newsworthy

So, the business my husband and I work for is in the news. For anyone interested, there's an article in the Vancouver Province - page 8. It also sounds like a few radiostations and possibly even something on Global news.

It's kind of cool and kind of not cool.

The issue in question was about our lease at one of our locations. The mall was bought by some Korean businessmen and they chose not to renew the leases of many of the non-Korean tenants. Many of these businesses had been at this location for many years. But, I don't think they broke any laws doing what they did.

For me though, I seem to unwillingly invite others to make racist comments. I guess I'm so pale they wrongly assume that I share their opinions. I'm just worried that this will bring more of these customers our way and I'll have to put up with more comments that set my blood to boiling.

I'm watching Global News right now, so we'll see if anything comes up. By the way, are you trying to teach someone how to make rouladen through your flickr photos?

Nope, didn't see anything on the news last night. But I didn't start watching the news until after 6:40, so maybe I missed it.

I don't think Global was coming until today actually. But, @ 7:45 this morning on CBC, he should be on.

Radio that is.

Darn, missed that radio broadcast. Was Lance actually on, or someone else from the company?

No, the issue isn't with his office actually. It's with his uncle's office in Langley. Apparently there's going to be an editorial in the Province about it too.
