5 Things
Normally I don't really go for this kind of meme (which, incidentally rhymes with 'theme') but I'm in a bit of a weird mood today. I have a tiny bit of free time at work so I thought I'd throw it out there. I haven't been tagged or anything, but it's been going around the blogosphere, so I figured I'd crash the meme party.
5 Things You Probably Don't Know About Me
[1] I really like that Shakira song Hips Don't Lie. I REALLY like it. Every time I hear it, the little dancing girl in me jumps up and down and starts shaking her hips. Sometimes it's all I can do to keep myself from chair dancing when the song starts playing at work. If I listened to the radio at home, I'd probably go crank up the volume every time I heard the song. Maybe I'll see what happens if I create a Pandora station around that song.
[2] When I'm happy, I like to skip. Not the kind of skipping with a jump rope (although I do enjoy that too), but the Dorothy-Wizard-of-Oz kind of skipping. If I'm in a good mood I'll skip a few steps down the hallway between the office and bedroom, or I'll skip from the living room to the kitchen. It's fun, I like it, yeah.
[3] I have an odd attraction to lipsticks. It's odd because I don't wear them when I buy them, but in a beauty magazine I'll see them and my eyes go wide as I ooh and aah over the colours. But, in the end, tinted lipgloss is about all I can handle on my lips.
[4] I think I'd make a pretty good Harlequin romance author. Even though I've never managed to read an entire Harlequin romance novel (and yes, I have tried) I'm positive some of the stuff I think up would be prime Harlequin romance material.
[5] I have a slight fear of the hair dresser. It's quite complicated actually. There have been very few hair cuts that I've truly been happy with. Plus, I'm lazy and keeping my hair trimmed and in good condition would be expensive and time consuming. I just don't have the motivation to try to find a good stylist. It's gotten to the point that the thought of meeting a complete stranger and entrusting my hair to them is a bit frightening. So, I just let it grow, damaged ends and all. But, I'm ok with that. I love my long hair and I just wish I could wear it down more often. Unfortunately, because of how fine my hair is and the demands of work and weather, I wear it up most days. It's now so long that I have to blow-dry it so that it isn't wet and freezing cold when I leave the house in the mornings.
